ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The family of the late Ann McLaughlin would like to express our heartfelt and sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with and supported us during our recent bereavement.

We are deeply grateful to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent mass/sympathy cards, made donations in lieu of flowers and supported us in so many thoughtful ways. The kindness shown to our family, along with your prayers and messages of comfort, meant more to us than words can express. This was of great support to us at a very difficult time.

Our sincere thanks to Fr Farren and Fr Doherty from St Eugene's Cathedral for visiting Ann when she was unwell. A special thank you to Fr Kevin Mulhern, from Holy Family Parish, for his prayers and for such a beautiful and meaningful funeral Mass. We are also very grateful to Erin Carlin, Sean Conaghan and Isobel Caldwell for the beautiful music that added so much to the service.

We would like to extend special thanks to Ann's amazing carers from the Western Trust, Bryson Care, NW Care and Strabane & Derry Care for the exceptional care, kindness and compassion shown to Ann over the last 5 years. A special thanks to Dr Todd, the Hospital at Home Team and the District Nurses who looked after Ann with such care and dignity in her last few weeks. We are eternally grateful to you all. Thank you also to Dr Sweeney, Dr Deane and the staff from Northside Medical Practice, who cared for Ann so well over many years.

Our sincere thanks to Kieran and his team at W J O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for the caring, dignified and professional manner in which they looked after the wake and carried out the funeral arrangements. Their kindness, guidance and attention to every detail were greatly appreciated by our family at such a difficult time.

The support shown to our family at this difficult time has been overwhelming and the kind words and prayers have given us great comfort as a family.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as an expression of our sincere heartfelt appreciation.

Ann's Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated at 6pm on Saturday 7th February 2026 in Holy Family Chapel.
