Acknowledgement, Bernard Francis Heagney, Died 18th August 2025.

We the family of the late Barney Heagney would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised, offered support and helped in any way following the recent bereavement of our Dad.

The entire family would like to thank everyone who called at Barney’s home, attended the funeral, gifted food, phoned, sent messages and mass/sympathy cards.
To the grave diggers, tea makers, those who coordinated the car parking and to the Millwheel bar for refreshments after the burial.

To Barney’s good friends and neighbours for their overall kindness throughout the years.

A special word of thanks to Fr Paddy Hughes for his support and for the beautiful Requiem Mass.
To Fr John Heagney for his friendship and prayers during Barney’s illness and for attending the funeral.
Thanks also to the Eucharistic ministers and readers.

To Gerry Loughran for the beautiful music.

A very special word of thanks to Patsy, Una and Marie for their unwavered support after Nuala’s passing.

To all the Home Help carers, Connected Health workers and medical professionals involved in Barney’s care, The Oaks Medical team, Fall’s Chemist and all the doctors and nurses in NI Hospice and Marie Curie for their compassion and care for which we will be forever grateful.

Sincere thanks to Niall Loughran Funeral Directors for their professional guidance and dignified manner in which they carried out Barney’s funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our appreciation.

Barney’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Dunamore, on Friday 19th September 2025 at 7.30pm.

A Naomh Padre Pio, guigh ar a shon.
