The death has occurred of:
Barry ROURKE
We, the family and partner of the late Barry Rourke, would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us during this very difficult time.
We are deeply grateful to Dr. John Glenn for his care and kindness and to the District Nursing team, the Marie Curie team, and the staff at Deenys Chemist for their compassion, support and dedication.
Our thanks also go to Dean Henry Blair for leading Barry’s funeral service, and to Rev. Peter Booth, Rev. Owen Patterson, Canon Sean Rogan, Canon John Murray, and Fr. Eugene O’Neill for their guidance, prayers, and comforting presence. We are especially appreciative of the beautiful music by Finbarr and Cara Keaveney and the organist Helen Blair.
We would like to thank Church wardens Alison and Mary, gravedigger Tom Edgar, and Daphne Scott and her team for their invaluable help on the day of the funeral.
To all who attended the service, sent cards, messages, and letters, and offered food and support at the family home - your kindness has meant so much to us. We are also truly touched by the generosity of those who made donations in Barry’s memory to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Special thanks to Petals & Pots for the beautiful flowers, and to Alan and Gavin of Plus2Print.
We are also very grateful to our good friends and colleagues, Ian and Oliver, for their help in organising and conducting Barry’s funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this message as a token of our heartfelt appreciation.
With sincere thanks,
The Rourke Family
Be still, my soul.
