DOHERTY, 31st March 2026, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his home 33 Elmgrove, BERNARD, beloved husband of Angela, loving father of Kieran and Sean, and stepfather to Sharon (Thompson), Gerard, James and Michael McGonagle, a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather and father-in-law, dear son of the late Harry and Margaret, cherished brother of Fr. Michael, Ann Bradley, Margaret Hannaway, Susan McIlveen and the late Harry and Marian and a loving uncle to all his nephews and nieces. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle.

Bernard will be reposing at his home on Tuesday 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Funeral leaving his home on Thursday 2nd April at 11:20 a.m. to St. Joseph’s Church, Galliagh for Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE.

Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.
