The husband and family of the late Bertha Regan wish to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone who sympathised and supported us during our recent sad bereavement. We thank our family circle, friends and neighbours for all their help, and to those who attended the wake, sent cards, brought gifts, food and made donations to the Renal Unit and helped in any way. Also, Lynchs Clonoe, SVDP, McNulty Motors, Doorstep Restaurant, McGleenan’s Centra and Berts Takeaway for sending food to the wake.

A special word of thanks to Canon Benny PP for celebrating Bertha’s funeral mass and acknowledge both Fr John and Canon Benny Fee for their regular spiritual guidance, prayers and support during the period of Berthas illness.
Thank you to Margaret the Sacristan for all her help.

We thank Dr Mitchel and all at Lineside Health Centre for the exceptional care given to Bertha and the support shown to our family throughout her final weeks. We are also extremely grateful to the Renal Team in Belfast City Hospital who cared for Bertha over the past few years, they brought great professionalism, personality and encouragement to Bertha. Our thanks and appreciation to the district Nursing team and Marie Curie for their continued professional and personal care of Bertha in her final weeks and to Enable Care for their exceptional care and support given to Bertha.

We are so grateful to Edel and Patsy Taggart of Taggart Funeral Services for their professionalism, compassion and dignified handling of all funeral arrangements and their tremendous attention to detail throughout the wake and funeral.

Thank you to Gary Harte the gravedigger for preparing Berthas final resting place and to KC Marquees for providing the marquee during the wake.

A special word of thanks to Margaret Ann Conlon for the very fitting music at Berthas funeral mass. To Clonoe Community Centre and Linda for providing refreshments after the funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere token of our heartfelt appreciation. Your kindness, prayers, support and generosity have been a great comfort to us at this difficult time.

Bertha was a much-loved wife, mother and grandmother and we feel lucky to have had her in so many of our lives for so long.
Bertha’s months mind mass will take place on Tuesday 20th October 2026 at 7.30pm in St Patricks Church Clonoe.
