Dana, Joseph, Nuala & Lara and the extended family of the late Bertie Foley wish to convey our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us and are continuing to support us at this very difficult time.

We have been so comforted by the many cards, letters, calls, texts, social media posts and flowers that we received, and greatly appreciate everyone who took the time to attend the wake, funeral or who got in touch with us in any way.

We would like to especially thank the following people:

The paramedics who attended to Bertie, and the doctors and nurses at Craigavon Area Hospital who comforted him in his final moments.

Our wonderful friends, family and neighbours who brought and prepared food at the wake, and those who helped us behind the scenes in arranging Bertie’s funeral.

Everyone who made donations to St. Vincent de Paul.

We are indebted to Dungannon Thomas Clarke GFC for stewarding throughout the wake, and to Dungannon Rugby Club for providing their car park for anyone attending. To the Officers and Members of Cumann na mBunscol and all Bertie’s friends at Dungannon Men’s Probus, DungannonCredit Union and Donaghmore Historical Society we owe so much thanks.

We offer sincere thanks to Dean Kevin Donaghy for Bertie’s beautiful Requiem Mass, and to Patrick Slevin and Bertie’s grandniece Maria Meagher for the beautiful music during the ceremony. We are hugely grateful to those family members who did the readings, prayers of the faithful and reflection.

A huge thank you to the staff and pupils of St. Patrick’s Primary School Mullinahoe, St. Patrick’s Primary School Dungannon and Dungannon Thomas Clarke GFC for their guards of honour at the church.

We also thank PJ Quinn Funeral Directors for their exemplary, dignified and thoughtful service to us, and to those who prepared Bertie’s final resting place. We would also like to thank the staff at the Gables restaurant for the lovely meal they served us after the funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, the Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Bertie’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place at 7.30pm on May 19th in St. Patrick’s Church Dungannon.

Have you considered?
