Walsh, The Most Reverend Patrick Joseph DD, Bishop Emeritus of Down and Connor.

Son of the late Michael and Nora, brother of the late Jack and Mary RIP.

Died 28th December 2023 peacefully at Nazareth Care Village.

Bishop Patrick’s remains will arrive at Nazareth Care Village on Saturday 30th December at 3.00pm and will repose there until removal on Sunday 31st December to arrive at St Agnes’ Church at 6.00pm for the celebration of Mass – live streaming via www.stagnesbelfast.com/?page_id=2294

Bishop Patrick’s remains will arrive at St Peter’s Cathedral on Monday 1st January for the liturgy of reception at 6.00pm. Requiem Mass will take place in St Peter’s Cathedral on Tuesday 2nd January at 12.00 noon – live streaming via www.churchservices.tv/stpeterscathedral followed by the interment in the Chapel of the Resurrection of the Cathedral.

Deeply regretted by his brother Michael, sister-in-law Angela, his nieces Maria and Jacqueline, his nephew Michael their families and his wider family and friends, Bishop Donal McKeown, Apostolic Administrator, His Excellency Archbishop Noel Treanor Apostolic Nuncio to European Union Bishop Emeritus of Down and Connor, Clergy and Religious of the Diocese of Down & Connor.

St Malachy & St MacNissi patrons of the diocese pray for him.
