The death has occurred of:
Brian (Barney) McCOOL
McCOOL, 22nd February 2026, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Altnagelvin Hospital, after a long illness, BRIAN (Barney, formerly of Rathowen Park), beloved husband of Miriam, loving father of Jordan-Marie, Brian-Liam and Ciaran-Donovan, dear son of the late Peggy and Brian, cherished brother of Alana, Gary and Roy and a caring uncle to Michelle, Aidan and Aaron. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle.
Brian will be reposing at his home, 6 Leenan Gardens, on Monday 23rd February from 4:00pm.
Funeral leaving his home on Wednesday 25th February at 9:30am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.
