The family of the late Brian Fitzsimons, would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. Thank you to everyone who supported our family with Mass and Sympathy cards, letters and messages of condolences and those kind friends who brought food to Tennis Cove. We really appreciate everyone who paid their respects at the wake, funeral or viewed the Requiem Mass online.
We will never forget the care that Brian received in Ward 2 of the Downe Hospital, it was outstanding. A sincere word of thanks to all those wonderful, caring medical and nursing staff we met at various stages of Brian's life. We would like to pay tribute to Dr Murphy, Dr Chantelle McMullan, Dr McMinn, Liz and the team at Ardglass Surgery.
We would also like to sincerely thank Fr Vincent McKay and our friend Fr Tom Healy for the beautiful requiem Mass in celebration of Brian's life. We so appreciate their support and pastoral care.
A big thank you to Bernie Campbell and to our friend Colm Mac Con Iomaire for enhancing the service with beautiful music.
Thanks also to Patsy Fitzsimons and Stephen Morgan at Down Funeral Directors, who were consistently caring and professional.
We appreciated Ardglass Golf Club providing such a high standard of catering after the funeral service.
We would particularly like to mention the kindness shown from Brian's friends in the Bowling Club, his Bridge Group and his golfing buddies at Ardglass Golf Club, as well those in the Patient and Carer Educational Partnership at Queen's.
As it would be impossible to mention everyone individually, we hope you will accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere gratitude.
Brian's Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 8th February, at 11.30am, in St. Nicholas’ Church, Ardglass.
