ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND MONTHS MIND MASS

We, the family of the late Brian O'Hara, would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent sad bereavement.

Sincere Thanks to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, messages of condolences and donated in lieu of flowers. This was a great comfort to us at a very difficult time.

To our family, friends and neighbours who helped out and brought refreshments during the wake, We are so grateful for your kindness.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr Emma Casey, the District Nurses, the staff at Eglinton Medical Practice and the dedicated medical team at the North West Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital, staff from Wards 41 & 50 in Altnagelvin and to all the doctors and nursing staff of Foyle Hospice Inpatient Unit and Foyle Hospice Community Care Team for the care, kindness and support shown to Daddy and our family throughout his illness.

We extend sincere thanks to Fr Mc Dermott and Monsignor Dolan for their support, kindness and meaningful requiem mass and to all those who participated in the mass in any way.

Thank you to the musicians for the beautiful music.

Thank you to St Mary’s Faughanvale GAA for providing a guard of honour at the funeral.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the sacristan and the gravedigger for preparing the church and Daddys final resting place with such care and respect.

Thanks to Currans Bakery for providing the refreshments after Mass in the hall. It was greatly appreciated by our family.

Finally, sincere thanks to Kieran and all at W. J. O’Brien and Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for every act of kindness shown to us.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Daddy's Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale on Friday 23rd October 2026 at 7.30pm.
