Died 12th September 2025
We the family of the late Bridie, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who offered their condolences, prayers and support during our recent sad bereavement.
Bridie was a widely respected lady, devoted wife of the late Jim, and adored mother of Seamus, Marian, Patricia, Briege, Sean, and Damien. Mother in law of Michael, Mark, Colleen and Aileen. Much loved grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake house, brought food or helped, this was greatly appreciated. Thank you to all those who assisted with traffic management and parking. Special thanks to Campbell’s Contracts for providing the shuttle bus.
Our thanks also to everyone who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu, and to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass. Thank you to the footballers for assisting with traffic management on the day of the funeral.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time, which has helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Raymond Donnelly C.C. for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers and our singer Donna Taggart who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.
Special thanks to the St. Matthew’s Camogie team, and Tempo Maguire's GAC, for their guards of honour.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the gravedigger Brendan for preparing Bridie’s final resting place. Thank you also to Mary of Howe’s Flowers for the lovely floral tribute and to the ladies in Tempo Community Centre for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral. Our thanks also to Tempo GAC for helping to serve refreshments.
And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the District Nurses with whom Bridie came into contact, and to Dr. Crummie who was in attendance on the morning of Mam's death. We are very grateful for all your help, and for the warmth and kindness shown to Bridie.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude and appreciation.
Bridie is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tempo on Friday 10th October at 7pm. Our Lady of Knock pray for her.
