Acknowledgement.
Bridget McCarney,
Liffer, Trillick, Co Tyrone.
Died 14th December 2025.
We, the family of the late Bridget, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, and support during our recent sad bereavement. Bridget was the devoted wife of the late Paddy, adored mother of Gerald, Mary, Bernie, Patsy and Una. Much loved mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother and a treasured friend.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake in our home, helped or brought food, this was greatly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards,
messages, flowers or donations in lieu, and to those who lined the funeral route, or joined us at the Requiem Mass.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, throughout this difficult time.
A special word of thanks to Father Pádraig MacKenna P.P. for such a beautiful and meaningful requiem Mass and to Canon John McKenna P.E. for concelebrating the Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and to everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our singers Fergal McAloon and Patrick Slevin, who provided the beautiful music.
We would also like to thank Father Pádraig and Canon John for their many visits and spiritual support to Bridget, this was a great comfort to Bridget and was much appreciated by all of us.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Brendan for preparing Bridget’s final resting place. Also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the beautiful floral tributes, and to the Trillick Leisure Centre ladies for providing the most welcome refreshments after the burial.
And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the health care professionals with whom Bridget came into contact, especially her dedicated home carers who went above and beyond in their care of our Mum. We are so very grateful for all your care, help and assistance and for the kindness shown to her.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Bridget is loved and missed every day. May her gentle, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Macartan’s Church, Trillick on Saturday 10th January at 8pm. St. Anthony pray for her.
