The death has occurred of:
Bridie (Bridget) McAlernon (née McCann)
The family of the late Bridie McAlernon wishes to express their sincere and heartfelt appreciation to all those who extended their sympathy and support following their recent loss.
We are deeply touched by the generosity of all who visited our home, attended the funeral, sent Mass cards and sympathy cards, offered messages of comfort, or provided assistance in any form.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Father Colum Wright for his sensitivity, compassion, and gentle humour, which were greatly appreciated, and for celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass. Our thanks also to Niamh Murray for her beautiful music and singing.
A special word of thanks goes to the consultants, doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants at the City Hospital, Belfast. Thanks also to the nurses and home care team who called to her home every week, and to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Church Walk Surgery. Thank you for your outstanding care and compassion shown to our mum/wife, Bridie. Your kindness has been of great comfort to us during this time.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to McAlinden and Murtagh Funeral Directors for their endless compassion and professionalism during what has been an extremely difficult time.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our profound gratitude.
Bridie McAlernon’s Month’s Mind will take place today Friday, 8th May 2026 at 7.00pm in St Peter’s Chapel, Lurgan.
