Bridie Curran
Farranascullogue,
Lisnaskea.
21st November 2025
The family of the late Bridie Curran wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement.
Bridie was a trusted friend to many, a devoted wife of John, and a much-loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our family, friends and neighbours who provided emotional and practical support at such a difficult time.
We are also deeply thankful to everyone who sent Mass and sympathy cards, flowers and donations in lieu, and to all who attended the wake and funeral, including those who lined the funeral route and those who travelled long distances to be with us.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to all the healthcare professionals who cared for Bridie, including the staff of Maple Health Care Lisnaskea, the South West Acute Hospital, the District Nursing Team, the Marie Curie Nurses and Rapid Response Team.
In particular, we wish to acknowledge the dedicated home carers who went above and beyond in Bridie’s care. We are so grateful for your professionalism, kindness, assistance and good humour, which meant so much to her over the past number of years.
We also thank Canon Jimmy McPhilips for a beautiful and meaningful Requiem Mass. His many home visits and the spiritual support he provided to Bridie were a great comfort to her and deeply appreciated by us all, especially her husband John.
A special word of appreciation to Karen and to all the musicians and singers for the beautiful music during the Mass.
We also thank Jim, the Sacristan, and the parish volunteers for preparing the church for the funeral.
Our sincere thanks go to Ollie, Leo and Conor of Swift and McCaffery Funeral Directors for their guidance, compassion and professionalism throughout.
Thanks also to Erne Bistro and to the volunteers from Lisnaskea Emmett’s GAC, of which Bridie was a lifelong member, for providing the welcome refreshments in the parish centre after the Funeral Mass.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Bridie is deeply and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and will always be remembered with great affection in our hearts.
