Briege Carlin (née McGilloway)
It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Briege Carlin née McGilloway, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on 10th December 2025.
Late of 60 Foyle Rd and formerly of 3 Eskaheen View. May she rest in peace.
Beloved wife of Andy. Devoted mother of Sandra, Paula, Lorna, Tony and Andrea. Loving granny and great-granny to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A much loved mother-in-law. Beloved daughter of the late Danny and Lily (née Davis) late of 28 Lislane Drive. Dearest sister of Ann, Tony, James, Mena, Gabriel and the late Sadie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all her wider family circle and friends.
Briege’s remains will be reposing at her late home, 60 Foyle Rd from 6pm this evening, Thursday 11th December. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday 13th December at 9:20am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
The wake house will be private from 10pm until 11am.
