Acknowledgement
Brigid Hughes (Nee Glackin) RIP.
We, the family of the late Brigid Hughes RIP, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us during our recent bereavement.
We want to thank Dr. Mitchell and Dr. McKenna and all at Lineside Health Centre for the exceptional care given to Brigid and for the support shown to us as a family throughout her final years. We are also extremely grateful to the Domiciliary Care team of Anne Marie, Melissa, Jurgita, Julie, Joan, Fionnuala and others who were such a personal support, and brought great professionalism, personality and encouragement to Brigid, and ourselves, over the past few years. Special mention to our tremendously caring team of sitters - Briege, Allison, Josie, Mary, Eileen and others - for their care and attention given to Brigid and the family.
Our thanks and appreciation to the District Nursing team for their continued professional and personal care of Brigid and also to Dr. Nicholson and the Acute Care at Home team for their exceptional care and support given to Brigid and the family.
Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends, neighbours, and everyone who helped during the wake, especially those who brought food and refreshments and helped cater after the funeral. We are grateful also to Newell Stores, Coalisland, Mary and Brian Quinn of St Vincent de Paul who all provided substantial food supplies for Brigid’s wake. Special mention to Derrytresk GFC and to Cathal O’Neill and Margaret Corr and club members who offered so much help throughout the days of the wake and for the funeral reception.
We would like to thank Father John McCallion for the beautiful funeral Mass and acknowledge both Fr. John and Canon Benny Fee for their regular spiritual guidance, prayers, and support of Brigid and the family. Thanks also to Tommy the sacristan and Gary who prepared Brigid’s final resting place so professionally.
Thank you to Nuala and Briege for the beautiful music during the funeral and the upcoming month’s mind.
We are hugely grateful to Edel and Patsy Taggart of Taggart Funeral Services for their professionalism, compassion, and dignified handling of all funeral arrangements and their tremendous attention to detail throughout the wake and funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a sincere expression of our appreciation. Your kindness, prayers, support, and generosity have been a great comfort to us at this difficult time.
Brigid was a much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother and we feel lucky to have had her in so many of our lives for so long. May her gentle soul rest easily in the loving arms of Mary.
Saint Brigid pray for us.
Brigid’s month’s mind Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 24th September at 7:30pm in St Colmcille’s Church, Kingsisland.
