As Cathal's Month’s Mind approaches, we, Cathal's family, wish to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who offered kindness, comfort and support following our sad loss. We are deeply grateful to all who sent heartfelt messages, Mass cards, offered condolences and prayers, or helped in any way during this difficult time. Every thoughtful gesture was greatly valued and brought reassurance to us when it was needed most.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who came to the wake and joined us for his Requiem Mass and burial. We are especially thankful to those who travelled near and far to pay their respects and stood alongside us as we said our final farewell to Cathal. A special word of thanks is extended to the team of First Responders for their care and compassion shown.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fr M Gallagher for administering the Last Rites and for the prayerful comfort he provided at that time. We are also sincerely grateful to Fr Colhoun and Fr McElhennon for their prayers and guidance during the wake and to Fr Bradley for celebrating Cathal's meaningful Requiem Mass with such warmth and dignity. Our thanks also goes to everyone who helped make the Mass so personal, including those who provided the beautiful music and singing. To those of Gortin Community Centre and AnneMarie Mossey for their hospitality was much appreciated. Our sincere thanks also to the gravediggers for preparing Cathal’s final resting place, and to Phil Morris for his compassion, guidance and professionalism, and for the dignity and care shown to Cathal and our family throughout. To our extended family, friends and neighbours, thank you for your compassion and friendship.

We were particularly touched by those who recalled their stories and fond memories of Cathal and spoke so warmly of him. The many messages, recollections and tributes we received have been a great source of solace, reminding us how warmly Cathal was regarded and how much he meant to those who knew him. A special word of thanks to our neighbours and friends who helped in so many ways throughout the wake including those helping with parking and transport.Your kindness and generosity were greatly appreciated.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere expression of our family’s heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to everyone who supported us in any way. Cathal's Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 21st August at 7.30pm in St. Mary's, Rouskey.
