Charles (Charlie) Conaghan
Died 17th April 2023
We, the children of Charlie Conaghan, wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all who have sympathised with us on the loss of our beloved Dad, Grandad, Great-grandad, Brother and Uncle.
A special thanks to our extended family members who helped us care for Dad in his final weeks and who supported us throughout the wake and funeral.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake, sent Mass and Sympathy cards, provided food and attended the house, mass and cemetery. Thank you also to those who travelled distances to mourn with us and all who extended their sympathies and prayers from afar.
We would like to especially thank Dad’s neighbours and close friends, the entire team at Park Medical Practice, the District Nursing Team, staff of Ward 44, Marie Curie nurses and particularly the Acute Care At Home Team who attended our Dad daily.
To Fr Paul Farren, thank you for the support in the days after Dad’s passing, throughout the wake and in the preparation of, and delivery of the Requiem mass. Thank you to Anne Marie and Charlotte for the beautiful music and to all of our family whose contribution made the Mass especially personal.
Finally, an extension of gratitude to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors. Your dignity and professionalism over the course of the wake and funeral were exceptional.
Thank you for all the donations made in lieu of flowers to our Dad’s chosen charity, The Foyle Hospice.
It is Impossible to thank each and everyone individually. Please accept this acknowledgment as an extension of our sincere thanks and appreciation.
Dad’s Month Mind Mass will be on Friday 19th May 2023 in St. Eugene’s Cathedral at 7.30pm
