Colm Mc Guckin Family Acknowledgement Month Mind Mass
We the family of the late Colm Mc Guckin (Cookstown formerly Moneymore) wish to express our sincere thanks to our wider family, friends and neighbours, especially our lifelong friend and neighbour Eunice, for their kindness, sympathy, support and generosity shown to us at the sad loss of our much loved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather, brother and brother-in-law.
A sincere word of thanks to everyone that visited our home, sent messages and cards, or brought food, or helped in any way, this did not go unnoticed.
To Fr Boyle for a beautiful Requiem Mass along with Patrick Slevin (keyboard), Sinead Willox (vocals), Deirbhile Canavan(whistle) for the uplifting music and song which provided great comfort and a fitting goodbye for daddy. The family would like to thank all the staff at Mid Ulster Health Care Cookstown, Doctor Johnston, Local District Nursing Team especially Mary O’Hare, and all the staff in Ward A5 Antrim Area Hospital, for their personalised care and compassion shown to dad during his illness and his final days.
A very special word of thanks to Joanna and her staff at Niall Loughran Funeral Directors, for the very dignified, professional and compassionate manner in which they carried out and guided us through all aspects of dad’s funeral. To Sharon and the ladies of ‘The Stables Parish Tearoom’ for the lovely refreshments after the burial.
As a family, we are overwhelmed by the support we have received, as it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as an expression of our appreciation to each and every one of you.
Colm Mc Guckin Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in Holy Trinity Chapel Cookstown on Wednesday 29th April 2026 at 10.00am.
