I am heartbroken to hear of the passing of Sonya Higham (née Ferguson). My deepest sympathies go out to her entire family at this incredibly difficult time.
I grew up around the area where Sonya lived, and I have so many lovely memories of her. I also had the pleasure of working with her during her time at Randox, and she was always such a lively, kind, and genuine person. Any time I met her we had great craic and a good laugh. She had a wonderful way about her — full of warmth, strength, and wisdom.
Sonya truly was one in a million. She always showed great strength and never hesitated to offer guidance or kind words when they were needed. I will never forget the amazing advice she gave me over the years.
The world has lost a very special woman, but her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. Her spirit will continue to shine through her beautiful family.
My thoughts and prayers are with her husband Roman, her children Jessica, Sophie, Jim, Ronan and Charlie, her parents Peter and Mary, her brothers Peter, David and Thomas, and all of her extended family.
You are all in my prayers. Rest in peace, Sonya. You will never be forgotten.
