I am deeply saddened to hear of Mark’s passing.
We have been good friends, although lately out of touch, since Mark came to live in Dublin over twenty years ago, when we briefly formed a band together. Mark was an incredibly talented musician in general and one of the finest drummers I’ve ever had the good fortune to share a stage with. It was like being in the room with a freight train when he was playing.
I shared a roof with him and we traveled to festivals in Germany together and I only remember good times when he was around. He had a gentleness of spirit that belied his tough exterior and he was always a valued friend and bandmate.
I know there are many others in Dublin and further afield in the music scene who share my sense of loss and who would also offer their sincerest condolences to his family and all those who loved and miss him most.
My deepest sympathies to all of you and my sincerest thanks to you, his family for sharing such a fine human being with us.
Rest in Peace Mark, brother.
May flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest.

Very sorry to hear about Mark's death.
Knew him years ago in the Dublin metal scene: he was a great character, on and offstage.
