Latest Sympathy Notices

Hello from Canada!

Although I never met Marie, I have had the great pleasure of knowing Brian since he arrived in Canada. To Brian and his entire family, I am so sorry for your loss. Being a 6th generation Canadian (but 100% descendant from Ireland), I made the mistake of telling Brian I was "Irish". Well, I should have said I was Canadian and left it at that.

After much debate over pints, I can now call myself "of Irish Heritage". To prove my point, my mom always says the same thing when someone closes to us passes away, "those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day". I looked this expression up today "on the internet" and discovered that it is an Irish saying. Proof that Irish traditions are alive and well in Canada.

Brian and family, the first few days and weeks are the hardest but always remember, Marie is walking beside you as you continue your journey.
