Today, we proudly honour a man whose life was defined by integrity, courage, and an unshakeable sense of what was right. He was upright, honest, and decent in a world that does not always reward those qualities, but he lived by them anyway. Not because it was easy, but because it was who he was.
He fought for his beliefs with quiet strength and unwavering conviction. More than that, he fought for others, especially for those who could not fight for themselves. In the courtroom, he became a voice for the voiceless, a protector of fairness, and a defender of justice. Many stood taller because he stood beside them (myself included).
To him, integrity and honesty were not just virtues, they were his reason for being. They shaped how he worked, and how he moved through his life. He held himself to a standard that inspired everyone who knew him.
Though he is gone, his example remains. His impact lives on in the people he helped, in the truths he upheld, all of which he gave without hesitation. The world is quieter without him, but also better because he was here.
He may have left our sight, but he will never leave our hearts. Gone, but never forgotten.
