I met Steve in 1987 and we immediately made a connection and became friends.
I was always struck by his ability to lighten up a room with his warmth, humility and humour. Steve was a person who lifted everyone up. A person everyone wanted to be with.
I will always be grateful to Steve for the hand of friendship he offered me 40 years ago and what he did to support me at that time. I am just one of many who owe him a debt of gratitude.
Rest easy my dear friend. You will stay in our memories.
