We met Alan on an Arctic trip back in autumn ‘23 and, along with two Australians, we had a such a memorable time we decided to go together to the Antarctic in November ’24. Another wonderful trip with a wise, funny, kind and considerate travelling companion. This, of all Alan’s travel trips, was the one he was so pleased to have participated in and we had planned to travel together to the Shackleton Museum in Athy, Co Kildare. Sadly for Alan it is not to be. We will go soon and remember our friend, with love. Dorothy and Billy Xx
