The Council of The Irish Association – working for almost 90 years to promote reason and goodwill in relations across the island – wishes to sympathise with Dennis’s family and to offer our thanks for the contribution he made to the work of the Irish Association. This included serving as President of the Association in 1999-2000 and editing a number of important publications for the Association, such as Forging an Identity (2000) and Nothing but Trouble – Religion and the Irish Problem (2003). Dennis was a long serving member of the Association and his engagement with its aims and objectives were highly valued by all who worked with him.
