NICEP team xx
It is somewhat surreal to be writing this, as it seems like a mere moment ago that May Fan was at work looking forward to her new role and excited by the challenges and rewards of guiding students through their journey to become practising pharmacists. While we worked in different areas of the clinical team, with our paths not often directly crossing, it didn’t seem to matter as May Fan’s gentle, calm and considerate demeanour always greeted me with a warm hello and a chat about life’s going ons. She thrived in orthopaedics and had great working relationships with everyone around her, many of which blossomed into friendships. She was kind to all of us, empathetic and accommodating to our needs of rota swaps (even at short notice) and supportive to anyone who asked for help. She brought such warmth to our pharmacy team and we will always remember her. We will do our best to support her friendship group as we move forward and I am sure she will be guiding us all in her no-fuss, diligent usual way. She was simply a lovely girl, wise beyond her years and I will remember with great fondness. To you, her family and Liam, I offer my sincere condolences and I hope that knowing how much May Fan was thought of and loved by her work colleagues brings some comfort in the days and months ahead. Those who we miss are still with us, those we can’t see are still there, for memories live longer than moments and love knows no goodbyes. May she rest in peace
