The Deputy Master, Officers and Brethren of Royal York L.O.L. 145 record, with sadness, the death of our Worshipful Master, Friend and Brother, Rt. Wor. Bro. R. Thiepval (Val) Young PDM, a faithful member and servant of the Loyal Orange Institution for many years, on Thursday, 11th June 2026. A true Gentleman, he had held the office of Secretary for 30 years and was Master in 1977 and 2026. His conduct in, and commitment to, our institution and the Loyal Orders in general was never for personal gain but for the benefit of others and was consistent with his actions in the wider community in which he lived and worked. We will mourn his passing.
