My husband Andrew and I have now lived in western Canada for 55 years although I was brought up in Bangor and was a friend of Your beloved Denny during my teens ( the Methodist Youth Group and their Easter hiking trips to Scotland) and university years.
Yesterday morning I received 3 messages from friends and family with the news of your dear Denny’s recent death and have now found, through this website I am able to send you and your family a message to express my deepest sympathy on this profound loss.
When our parents died Denny helped my brother and myself in establishing the value of their house for probate and taxation purposes and I remember Denny at our father’s funeral, but otherwise I had not been in touch with Denny although I remember him with affection as a principled man of warmth, kindness and humour. Your loss has been a devastating one but I have confidence and hope the closeness of your family and your many friends will sustain you.
