Today we remember and celebrate the life of our beloved Aunt Josie—a truly kind, thoughtful, and generous woman who filled our lives with love in so many quiet but unforgettable ways.
As the years passed and life took us in different directions, those family bonds never faded. Julie and I always looked forward to flying home from America, knowing that one of the highlights of our trip would be having lunch with my Mum, Aunt Josie and Aunt Nell in Kircubbin, enjoying the stories and simply being together. Those days seemed so ordinary at the time, but they have become some of our most treasured memories.
Aunt Josie was so kind. She never forgot a birthday, and every card she sent came with a little something tucked inside—not because she had to, but because that was who she was. She wanted everyone to know they were remembered, thought about, and loved.
And every time Julie and I were to fly back to America, she would make sure we never left empty-handed. She always stocked us up with our favourite crisps and chocolates, making sure we had a little taste of home to take back with us. It was such a simple gesture, but it spoke volumes about her caring nature. She was always thinking of others.
That was Aunt Josie. She didn't seek recognition or praise. She simply loved her family and showed that love through countless acts of kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness.
Although our hearts are heavy with sadness, we are incredibly grateful for the memories she leaves behind. We will remember her warm smile, her gentle spirit, her caring heart, and the love she gave so freely to all of us.
Aunt Josie and I shared a love for The Snowman, and every Christmas it will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Aunt Josie, for showing us what unconditional love looks like, you will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Rest in peace, Aunt Josie.
May Aunt Josie now rest peacefully, reunited with Family and her beloved Tommy.

Although we only knew Aunt Josie from afar, we came to know her through Julie's stories and the love she showed our family. From the very beginning, she welcomed Julie with open arms and made her feel right at home with love and kindness.
Our hearts are with the entire family as you celebrate Aunt Josie's life. May the memories you shared bring comfort, and may her kindness continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.
With love,
Marie, Bev & Steve
