Tommy was first cousin to my father and best man at his wedding.
His late wife, Frances, was a very good friend to my mother. The two young teachers trained together and, after qualifying, found jobs in the same area, as well as husbands in the same family circle.
With Tommy’s passing, one more slender link to their generation slips away.
Photos of me and my siblings from Tommy’s studio can still be found tucked into boxes in the attic, from babyhood up to my sister’s wedding. His imprint - literally - and his memory will outlast him.
