Time slips past but memories last.
Although the years and distance meant that I didn’t know Jackie as well in later life, she will always be part of my family memories and of those special childhood visits to Ireland.
I remember so fondly the laughter in the family home — it was always full of life and, above all, filled with such a wonderful sense of family spirit and togetherness. They were a very united family then, and that bond has clearly remained just as strong to this day. Those are memories that have stayed with me throughout the years.
Life may have taken us in different directions, but family connections remain with us despite the passing of time. Jackie was very much in my thoughts, particularly towards the end. She was a woman of great strength and courage, something I will always remember and admire about her.
My heartfelt sympathies go to Peter, Mark, Lauren and to my cousins, Janette, Colette, Simon, and to all her family and loved ones at this very sad time.
She will be remembered with great fondness. May she rest peacefully.
