Having been abroad for New Year, I have just learned, with great sadness, of Brian's passing. I have had the privilege and pleasure of serving on the Council of the then Irish Squash Rackets Association during Brian's Presidency, many years ago. Brian was an outstanding President who exemplified the very essence of what our sport is about. With his patience, his calmness, but most of all, his disarming smile, he provided leadership and harmony that was hugely constructive. I greatly value his guidance and kindness to me.
