On behalf of the extended Whiteside Family in Canada and the United States, especially Mom and Dad, we extend our condolences across the miles of land and ocean to the Gregg family on the passing of a much loved father and husband Alec Gregg.
We knew Alex best as close friend and business colleague of Dad's. It was a friendship that never faded through distance, or time. Alec and Dad where good business colleagues and friends for more than 50 years, They also shared a love of golf, good food and fishing out of Portaferry.
Dad wrote a few words which he asked me to forward to Ena. " He wrote: "I grieve deeply for your loss, and I feel a big loss also. I hope that you will get the strength you need and deserve in the days ahead from all your family."
To Ena, Christine, Stephen and Dawn, and to the extended Gregg family we mourn Alec's passing. Many kind and encouraging words will be said in the days a week ahead. Please know that we are thinking of you all especially on January 11 as Alec is laid to rest. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless.
