The death has occurred of:
Damien LAVERY
We, the family of the late Mr Damien Lavery, would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all those who supported and sympathised with us during our recent bereavement.
We are eternally grateful to our family, friends, and neighbours for the love and support shown to Damien and our family in the weeks and months leading up to Damien's passing.
We appreciate the many callers who came to our home during and after the wake and offered their sympathies, sent cards, gifts and flowers, brought food and provided practical help during what was a difficult time for us all. Your kindness and support brought us such comfort and will never be forgotten. To those who sent donations for Macmillan, your generosity will go a long way to help other families, thank you.
To all the remarkable medical staff who attended Damien, the care, love and compassion you shared with the family was greatly appreciated and made it possible for him to remain at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. In particular, we wish to sincerely thank all the District Nurses who came to our home, to our incredible GP Dr Natalie Robinson and all the staff at Crumlin Medical Practice, all the staff at Antrim Macmillan Hospice, Jenny our Hospice nurse, the Marie Curie Team, the staff at Crumlin Pharmacy, the ladies from Bluebird Carers and all the many medical professionals who cared for Damien.
We would like to thank all who attended the funeral, with a special word of thanks to our funeral celebrant, Emily O'Dowd Lewis, who celebrated and perfectly captured the essence of our wonderful Damien.
Finally, we would like to thank Peter Eastwood and his colleagues for their dignified professionalism in carrying out the funeral arrangements and support throughout.
We hope this acknowledgement is accepted as a token of our appreciation and expresses our gratitude to all who have taken the time to provide support and comfort during this time.
