The death has occurred of:
David John TOPPING
The family of the late David John Topping wish to offer our heartfelt and most sincere thanks to everyone who walked beside us during the loss of our precious David, whom we loved so deeply.
At a time when words failed us, your kindness and compassion spoke volumes. The messages, prayers, donations for the church, floral tributes, phone calls and the simple act of being there at David’s service of thanksgiving, brought us comfort and strength when we needed it most. Given the numbers who attended the funeral, and knowing how loved and remembered David was, has been a source of great solace to us.
The family wish a special heartfelt thanks to the family GP and dear friend Dr Richard Thompson, and all the staff involved with David’s care at Riverside Medical who cared for David with such dignity. A special thanks to the district nurses, hospice nurses, oncology, medical and nursing team at Laurel House in AAH who cared tirelessly over the years for David.
We would also like a special thank you to Rev Jim Lyons for his constant fellowship and prayers with David and Ashley over the years and capturing David’s spirit so beautifully at his service. Also, a massive thanks to those who helped with serving refreshments after the funeral.
A special thanks to J Stevenson and son Funeral Directors, who’s professionalism, sensitivity and care guided us through every step with dignity and compassion. Your support and friendship made an incredibly difficult time more manageable, and we will always be grateful.
Ashley would like a very sincere special word of thanks to David’s brother Richard and niece Amy who sang and played music during the service. Your beautiful tribute touched us profoundly, and honoured David in the most touching and personal way. Eternally grateful.
Please accept this notice as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
