The death has occurred of:
Deborah DORAN
We, the family of the late Deborah Doran, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to family, friends and neighbours for their sympathy and support following the sad loss of our dearly cherished mother Deborah, a devoted mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and friend.
We are most grateful to everyone who called to the house, attended the funeral, sent Mass cards, flowers, messages and expressions of sympathy. Your kindness and words of comfort have been a great source of strength to us at this difficult time.
A special thanks to Fr Peter O'Kane for his spiritual guidance to Deborah during his regular visits to Minerstown, and for celebrating a beautiful Requiem Mass in St. Joseph's, Killough.
We also thank Cara Keaveney for the beautiful singing at the Mass, Gertie Small, Deirdre McMordie and Cyril Carr for assisting in the prayers at our home and leading the burial rites at Rossglass, and Oliver Denvir for preparing the grave.
A sincere thank you to the carers, district nurses, Marie Curie nurses, Dr Jane Creaney, from Stream Street Surgery, Doris’ Pharmacy, and all the medical teams, in particular, the Hospital at Home team for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Deborah throughout her illness and in her final days.
We are very grateful to Mary Telford and Sinead Burns for their attention and kindness to Deborah in recent years. Also, to Mary Wylie for bringing Deborah Holy Communion every Tuesday, which was a source of strength and comfort to her.
Thank you to the committee and members of Bright GAC for the use of Bright Community Centre for refreshments after the funeral Mass.
We would also like to extend our appreciation to Ciaran Fitzpatrick and his colleagues at Seamus Fitzsimons Funeral Directors for the dignity, care and professionalism with which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
Deborah's Month's Mind Mass will take place on Saturday 9th May at 6.30pm in St. Joseph's Church, Killough. The Mass will also be offered in memory of our beloved father Oliver, on the fifth anniversary of his death, on 8th May 2021.
Our Lady of Fatima Pray for Us.
