Imelda, Colin, Lisa and the extended family of the late Denis Mills, 25 Coolnagard Heights, Omagh, who died on 7th July 2026, wish to thank most sincerely all who sympathised, prayed for and supported us during our recent, sad bereavement.

Special thanks to everyone who made the journey to our house to sympathise in person at the wake, made phone calls, left messages online or via social media, provided food, sent flowers, mass and sympathy cards. Thanks also to everyone who helped to prepare refreshments during the wake. To everyone who attended Denis’ funeral mass, it meant so much to see so many people who knew him throughout his life.

Denis was blessed with wonderful friends and neighbours, and we would like to thank them for their support and kindness throughout his life, illness and funeral and in the days since.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the many healthcare professionals who cared for Denis throughout his illness. To Rapid Response, Marie Curie Nurses, District Nursing Team, Kelly’s Chemist, Three Spires Surgery and Dr Paul Bradley. We want to thank you for your exceptional care and compassion of Denis. It meant very much to us as a family.

Denis was able to remain in his own home throughout his illness, and this was only possible because of the exceptional care he received from Lakeland Care staff, and particularly his daily carers. You cared for Denis like he was one of your own family and we are very grateful for your kindness to him and to us.

We would also like to acknowledge Fr Malachy Gallagher’s pastoral kindness to Denis in his final days and to Fr Roland Colhoun for his comforting requiem mass. Thank you to Louise Kirwin and Paul Pritchard for the most beautiful music which added greatly to the service.

We would like to thank most sincerely O’Kane Bros undertakers who guided us with kindness and compassion throughout our bereavement and for the professional and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Thanks also to the gravediggers for preparing Denis’ final resting place. Finally, thanks to Farley’s and Drumragh GAA Clubrooms for providing refreshments after Denis’ funeral and to the Culmore Diner.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

May his gentle soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
