The death has occurred of:
Dermot Maynes
Acknowledgement from the family of Dermot Maynes R.I.P., Mullan Road, Ballinderry
The family of the late Dermot Maynes wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who offered support and sympathised with them following their recent sad bereavement. Heartfelt thanks to our family, friends and neighbours for their kindness and support, to those who came to the wake and funeral, especially those who travelled long distances, and to those who watched via webcam. Sincere thanks to everyone who brought food, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, wreaths, texts, social media messages, and made phone calls.
A special word of thanks to everyone who cared for Dermot recently, especially the doctors and nurses at Antrim Area Hospital and Coagh Medical Centre. We appreciate the help and support provided by Coagh Pharmacy, and we are grateful for the care provided by the district nursing team and carers who visited him at home.
Special acknowledgments to Fr Donnelly (PP) Ballinderry for his guidance on the funeral arrangements, Fr McArdle (PP) Moneymore for celebrating the Requiem Mass, those who participated in the liturgy, and to Emmett O’Hagan and his daughter Emma for the beautiful music.
We wish to express our sincere thanks to Conan Lavery and Pat O'Neill of Lavery’s Funeral Directors for their professional and dignified manner, and for excellently guiding us throughout the funeral arrangements, to John Wilson for his support during the wake and funeral, and to those who prepared Dermot’s final resting place.
Thanks to Camillus and staff of Kinturk Cultural Centre for providing the lovely refreshments after the funeral.
We also wish to convey our gratitude to those who organised and conducted the gritting of Mullan Road during the ice and snow, and those who directed traffic and parking.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Dermot’s Months Mind Mass will take place on Friday 6th February in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinderry at 7.30pm and can be viewed via webcam (link below).
