Tanya, Dermot, Orla and Leanna, and the extended family of the late Dermot Tierney, 82 Lough View Meadows, Kinarla, Enniskillen, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to everyone who supported us during the recent passing of our dearly loved Father and Grandfather.
We are truly humbled by the respect, love, kindness and support shown by our extended family, friends and the local community, who took the time to attend the wake and Funeral Mass, called to our home, sent messages of sympathy and support, online tributes, Mass cards and donations.
Daddy had so many wonderful people involved in his life, and for this we will be forever grateful. We would especially like to thank the nurses who visited him daily and the carers who cared for him with such compassion and dignity. Your kindness and dedication will never be forgotten. A special word of thanks to Emma, who spent the last few months of Dad’s life helping to care for him, giving him a newfound freedom and taking him out for many coffees and chats. Your friendship and support meant so much to him and to all of us.
We also wish to thank everyone who called to visit Dad for a chat and companionship during his time without our dear mother. He truly appreciated every visit.
To all the doctors and nurses in A&E and Critical Care, thank you for caring for our dad with such dignity and respect in his final days. A special thank you to Dr Khan and all the staff on Ward 6, who tirelessly cared for Dad with unwavering compassion and kindness. Your support will always be treasured by our family.
We extend our sincere thanks to Fr Raymond Donnelly for celebrating such a beautiful Requiem Mass, of which Dad would have been very proud.
To Brenda Hicks, thank you for the beautiful singing, and to Daniel McCann for the moving bagpipe music.
A heartfelt thank you to our dear cousin Sean Murphy for delivering such a personal and meaningful homily and reflection, which captured our father so perfectly.
