The family of the late Dominic Ness wish to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who cared for, supported and helped Dominic throughout his illness and following his passing.

A special word of thanks is extended to the District Nurses, Western Urgent Care, Foyle Hospice Community Nurses and Marie Curie Nurses for the exceptional care, compassion and dignity they provided to Dominic in the comfort of his own home during his final months. Their kindness and dedication brought great comfort to Dominic and to our entire family.

We are deeply grateful to the consultants, doctors, nurses and staff at the North West Cancer Centre for their exceptional care and for giving Dominic as much precious time as possible with his family. We also wish to thank the doctors and nurses in Altnagelvin A&E who, despite working under immense pressure, provided exceptional care, professionalism and compassion.

Our sincere thanks are also extended to the doctors, nurses and reception staff at Bovally Medical Centre, who were always there whenever needed and for whom nothing was ever too much trouble. We also gratefully acknowledge the pharmacist and staff at Gordons Chemist, Limavady, for their invaluable support and assistance at all times.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Harkin for the beautiful and comforting funeral service held in our home, and to the staff at Lily Hill Funeral Home and Crematorium for the respectful and dignified service they provided.

A special word of appreciation is extended to Brendan O'Brien, Thomas O'Brien and family for the caring, professional and dignified manner in which they guided and supported us throughout. Their kindness, attention to detail and reassurance were a great source of comfort during a very difficult time.

We also wish to thank the owner of the former Bellarena Primary School for generously permitting the use of the car park during the wake and funeral service.

Our sincere gratitude goes to Pat O'Kane and all the staff at Pat O'Kane Car Sales, who went above and beyond to ensure that a vehicle was always available whenever required for hospital visits and stays. Their kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.

Finally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our wider family, friends and neighbours for their unwavering support throughout Dominic's illness, for every visit, phone call, message, meal, favour, act of kindness and prayer.

We are also deeply grateful to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages of condolence, or offered support following Dominic's passing. Your kindness and compassion have been a great source of comfort and strength.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our gratitude and appreciation. The kindness shown to Dominic and to our family throughout his illness and bereavement will never be forgotten.
