We the family of Kathleen Donaghy (née Harkin) wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us during our recent and sudden bereavement. We would like to thank all those who attended the wake, brought food, offered donations, sent Mass and sympathy cards, offered condolences or supported us in any way. A sincere thanks to Thomas and Deirdre Harkin for hosting the wake, and Helen Devine for the thoughtful gestures. We wish to thank Father McDevitt for the beautiful requiem mass. We have taken much comfort from your thoughtful and kind words.
Thank you to everyone who attended Kathleen's Requiem mass or joined us online. Your presence, prayers and support brought great comfort to our family. We wish to thank Kathleen's god-children Grace and Emmett for their readings, and nieces Áine and Emer, and the Aughabrack choir for the beautiful singing.
We would ike to sincerly thank the medical staff at Altnagelvin Hospital and the paramedics that cared for Kathleen before her passing. We would also like to give our heartfelt thanks to McLaughlin Funeral Directors, who cared for Kathleen and our family with such dignity, compassion and professionalism from the moment we notified them of her passing. They took care of every detail with such kindness and sensitivity, allowing us the precious time and space to be with Kathleen, grieve together and simply be a family during such a difficult time.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we hope that you will accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest and heartfelt appreciation.
Kathleen’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 18th of September in Saint Mary’s Church, Aughabrack at 7:30pm.
