We the husband, son and daughters of Donna Sloan would like to express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us on the loss of a much-loved wife, mummy, nanny, daughter, sister and friend. We wish to thank all those who called to the house, sent messages of condolence, attended the funeral and to the numerous guards of honour that lined the route to the chapel. In particular Newry Mitchels, Shane O’Neill’s Camlough, Sinn Fein, Sloan Electrical, St. Pauls High School Bessbrook, staff of the maternity department of Daisy Hill Hospital and the staff and management of Brilliant Red Digital.

Thank you to all our family, friends, neighbours and wider community for their help, kindness and support over the wake and funeral. To the management and staff of the Mountain House Bar for providing parking throughout the wake.

To the many local businesses, family and friends who brought food to our home throughout the wake, in particular Pat Byrne, The Hughes Family Camlough, Courtneys Newry, The Boulevard Newry, Friar Tucks Monaghan Street, The Mackin Family Camlough, The Hannaway Family Lislea, The McNally Family Camlough and The Fegan Family Camlough and Warrenpoint.

Our sincere appreciation for their care and attention is extended to Newtownhamilton District Nursing Team, in particular Jenna who cared for Donna with such professionalism in her final days. The nurses and staff of ward 3 South in Craigavon Area Hospital, we will never forget the impact you had on Donna’s life.

To all the staff and management of Clanrye Medical Practice, you always went above and beyond since MND came to our door. To the acute care at home and the enhanced complex care teams for the care they provided Donna, in particular Dermot Bellew. To Richard Garvey, Llyr, Jackie and all the staff at Camlough Pharmacy. We will be forever grateful to you all.

A heartfelt word of thanks to Father Brian McCreesh for celebrating the Requiem mass and burial and to Father Christy McElwee for concelebrating. To Kathleen Elmore sacristan and to Des, Richard and Robbie Willoughby who sang beautifully at the mass.

Finally thank you to Patricia and her team at Heaney Keenan Funeral Directors for their compassion and professionalism throughout Donna’s wake and funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a token of our deep appreciation.

Donna’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 15th February at 10.00am in St. Laurence Church, Omeath, Co. Louth.
