The death has occurred of:
Eamon (Edmund) DOWNEY
Downey, Eamon (Edmund) R.I.P. (late of Newcastle, Co. Down and Spain) peacefully at Downe Hospital, 6th May 2026, dearly loved husband of the late Emer. Loving father of Saoirse and the late Emmet, much loved grandfather of Taisce, Oisin, Caoimhe, Evan and Ewan, father-in-law of Luke Donavan, brother of Brendan Downey.
Will be sadly missed by his sorrowing family and friends.
His remains will repose in MJ Sawey and Sons Chapel of Rest, 9 Bryansford Avenue, Newcastle BT33 0AX.
Family in attendance on Friday 8th May 2026 between 5.00pm - 7.00pm.
Funeral Mass on Saturday 9th May 2026 at 10.00am in Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Newcastle. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rathfriland.
