The death has occurred of:
Eamonn Deery
Eamon Deery, Months Mind and Bridget Deery, 13th Anniversary Mass.
We, the family of Eamon Deery would like to take this opportunity to offer our heartfelt gratitude to all who expressed sympathy & support to us during our recent bereavement.
We are sincerely grateful to all dads’s neighbours, especially Sarah Keenan, Paul Deery, Eamonn & Francis Rooney, Fr. Early and Aidan Connolly for being with us at his home following his death and to Francie and Kevin Rooney for all their help in the following hours.
To our friends, neighbours and extended family who surrounded us with care, to those who visited, brought food, meals and provided childcare & those who helped in every way throughout the following days, your support meant more than we can express.
We thank the grave diggers for their care & attention in preparing dad’s resting place in such a respectful manner and maintaining the tradition of grave digging in the parish.
Thank you to those who paid their respects at the wake, sent Mass or sympathy cards, shared kind messages via social media or texts and to all those who attended the Funeral Mass and to those who travelled from afar. To all those who contacted us or called to our home in the difficult weeks that followed, we thank you deeply. Every gesture brought comfort, and we will never forget your kindness and compassion.
We extend special thanks to Fr. Joyce for his support and his thoughtful eulogy, the Alter Server, the readers, the Eucharistic Ministers and Patricia Cosgrove for her music and to all that contributed at the celebration of the funeral mass.
We thank Connolly Funeral Directors for their support & professionalism in carrying out their duties with such dignity and compassion for the wake & the funeral. We would also like to thank the McMahon Funeral home for providing a comforting environment during the wake.
We thank Scotstown GAA for the use of their facilities after the funeral, to Sliabh Beagh Hotel, Moyna’s Bar and McCague’s Bar for seating and kitchenware at the wake in Eamons home and to Edel McKenna for providing refreshments after the funeral.
While it is impossible to acknowledge everyone individually, please accept this as a token of our thanks and appreciation
