Eddie McNulty, Irvinestown
Family Acknowledgement and Month’s Mind Notice
As Eddie’s Month’s Mind approaches, we, Paula and family, wish to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who offered kindness, comfort and support following our sad loss.
We are deeply grateful to all who sent heartfelt messages, Mass cards and sympathy cards, offered condolences and prayers, or helped in any way during this difficult time. Every thoughtful gesture was greatly valued and brought reassurance to us when it was needed most.
Our sincere thanks to everyone who came to the wake, attended Eddie’s removal to the Sacred Heart Church for repose, and joined us for his Requiem Mass and burial. We are especially thankful to those who travelled to pay their respects and stood alongside us as we said our final farewell to Eddie.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Canon McGourty for attending Eddie and administering the Last Rites, and for the prayerful comfort he provided at that time. We are also sincerely grateful to Canon Duffy for his prayers and guidance, and for celebrating Eddie’s meaningful Requiem Mass with such warmth and dignity.
Our thanks also go to everyone who helped make the Mass so personal, including those who provided the beautiful music and singing, the readers, the gift bearers, and those who carried forward the symbols representing Eddie’s life and interests. Together, these touching contributions created a fitting tribute to a life well lived.
Our sincere thanks also go to the gravediggers for preparing Eddie’s final resting place, and to Claude McKervey for his compassion, guidance and professionalism, and for the dignity and care shown to Eddie and our family throughout.
To our extended family, friends and neighbours, thank you for your compassion and friendship. We were particularly touched by those who recalled their stories and fond memories of Eddie, spoke so warmly of his artistic talent, and took the time to share examples of his work with us. His art was a very special part of who he was and will remain a treasured and lasting connection to him for us all.
The many messages, recollections and tributes we received have been a great source of solace, reminding us how warmly Eddie was regarded and how much he meant to those who knew him. The care shown to us throughout these difficult days has given our family strength and will always be remembered.
To everyone who supported us and honoured Eddie’s life in so many thoughtful ways, please accept our heartfelt appreciation. Your compassion has meant more to us than words can express.
Eddie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 16th August 2026 at 11.00am in the Sacred Heart Church, Irvinestown.

Forever loved, greatly missed and always remembered.
