Died 10th September 2026

We, Lily’s family, wish to acknowledge the many kind expressions of sympathy and support offered on the recent sad loss of our much-loved and treasured mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and aunt.

We offer our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to our extended family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, who visited the house, travelled long distances, helped at the wake, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, and who sent donations in lieu of flowers. To those who brought gifts of food or attended the funeral Mass and burial, we are eternally grateful for your words of comfort, visits, and support.

We would also like to pay tribute to the dedicated, caring and compassionate nurses and staff of the Foyle Hospice, especially Mairead, Caroline and Catriona, for their care to mammy during her final weeks. Also, to the team at NW Care for their support and kindness.

A very special mention to all the doctors, nurses and receptionists of Park Medical, particularly Dr Forde and Dr Cochrane for their excellent care and support over the years and to the staff of Medicare Hatmore Pharmacy.

Sincere thanks also to Fr Paul Farren and Fr Shaun Doherty for your support and prayers for mammy, especially during the last few weeks of her life. To Fr Shaun for visiting mammy at home and to Fr Paul for the beautiful Requiem Mass, his kind words and for the support he provided to our family. Our thanks also to Michelle Conaghan for the beautiful singing and accompaniment which helped make the funeral mass so special.

Thanks to Da Vinci’s who provided the refreshments after the funeral.

A special thanks to Kieran, Noeleen and the staff of W.J. O'Brien & Sons (Funeral Directors, Eglinton), for their professional and dignified handling of all the funeral arrangements .

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere appreciation of our heartfelt gratitude for every act of kindness shown to us.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.

Have you considered?
