As those who loved Lily Sweeney dearly, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our family, friends, and neighbours for the kindness, support, and prayers we have received during this difficult time following her passing. Lily was a much-loved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, and she meant so much to each of us. She will always be remembered for her deep love for her family and her quiet strength, which guided and supported us all throughout her life.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended the wake, sent flowers and cards, and shared such kind and thoughtful words about Lily, both in person and online. Hearing your stories and memories reminded us just how special she was and how many lives she touched in her own gentle way.
Our sincere thanks to Fr. Gerard Mongan for the beautiful Mass and for the kind and comforting words he shared about Lily and her life.
We also want to thank Mr. Kieran Connor and his team at McClafferty Funeral Directors for their care, kindness, and professionalism throughout the wake and funeral.
Finally, the prayers, kindness, and sympathy shown by so many have brought us great comfort. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a sincere expression of our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude.
The Month’s Mind Mass for Lily will take place on Sunday 5th April at 12pm in St. Columba’s Church, LongTower (Easter Sunday).
