Elizabeth (Liz) McCORD

Passed away peacefully 30th October 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Formerly from Castlereagh Road, Belfast. Beloved wife of the late Frank, and much loved mother of Mark and Louise, a caring mother-in-law to Helen and Stephen, devoted grandmother to Chloe, Dylan, Darragh and Keilan, and also a great grandmother to Lottie.

A Celebration of Liz's life will take place on Saturday 8th November 2025 at 12.30pm in Willowfield Parish Church (My Lady's Road), Belfast, followed by a committal in Roselawn Crematorium at 2.00pm. House strictly private please.

Family flowers only with donations in lieu to Alzheimer's Society via Liz's much loved tribute page www.jamesbrownfuneraldirectors.com (tributes and donations tab).

Your restless days are over, your sleepless nights are past. God put His arms around you and whispered peace at last. To have you as our mother was cause enough for pride, no-one could be your equal however hard they tried. We lost a mother in a million, we loved her to the end. We lost two things that day, our mother and our best friend. God called your name so softly that only you could hear, and no-one heard the footsteps of the Angels drawing near. It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

Have you considered?
