Ellen (Nellie) THOMAS (née Gray)
Passed peacefully age 92, on 29th August 2026 at Oakridge Care Home, Ballynahinch.
Beloved wife of the late Harry, mum of Patrick, Jeanette, Pamela and Elizabeth. Mother-in-law of Eileen, Pat & Austin. Grandmother of Sonya, Thomas Joseph, Patrick, Christopher, Kylee, Danny, Lauren and Brenna. Great-grandmother to all her great-grandchildren at home and abroad. Sister of Billy and the late Paddy, Mary, John,
Nan, Barney, Teddy, Margaret and Malachy.
Ellen is reposing at O’Kanes Funeral Home 2 St. Judes Avenue, Belfast, BT7 2GZ from Wednesday 2nd September. Family will be in attendance on Wednesday and Thursday between 1.00pm – 4.00pm.
Her remains will be received to St. Malachys Church, Alfred Street, Belfast, on Thursday 3rd September at 6.00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday 4th September at 1.00pm. Burial afterwards in St. Malachys Church Cemetery, 43 Bishops Ct Road, Kilclief, Downpatrick, BT30 7PB.
